The HTC U 11 has finally been unveiled and it looks promising. It’s so promising that it is already being touted as the better smartphone than the popular Google Pixel. The HTC U 11 is also now being considered a formidable foe of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
To start off, the HTC U 11 has a better camera than the Google Pixel. A review by DxOMark, a popular photography site, puts the HTC flagship higher than the current Google handset with a score of 90 points. The Pixel held the number one spot for months with 89 points.
As BGR pointed out, the HTC U 11’s score was also better than Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S7, the HTC 10, and Sony Xperia which all got 88 points while the iPhone 7 Plus earned a paltry 86 point total.
According to DXOMark, the HTC U 11’s 12-megapixel camera also got the highest score in terms of still image and video quality. The new flagship smartphone bested the Pixel in both categories by one point. PetaPixel noted that the HTC smartphone also got high scores in Autofocus, Stabilization, and Noise.
Aside from its impressive camera, the HTC U 11 is also better than the Google Pixel in terms of performance. The U 11 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor while the Pixel comes with a Snapdragon 821 CPU.
Furthermore, the Pixel is not resistant to water at all while the U 11 earned an IP67 rating. The HTC U 11 also has better audio, has microSD expansion, and boasts of the new and unique innovation called Edge Sense.
